LEARNING OUTCOME
The aim of this course is to provide the basic tools for understanding the specific task of ingredients generally used in cosmetic products. The chemico-physical properties of cosmetic ingredients together with the main aspects of cosmetic science, such as European law and labelling rules, anatomy and physiology of skin and hair, will be discussed in relation to the functional, sensorial and safety requirements of the different categories of cosmetic products.
At the end of the course the student will be confident with the reading of commercial product labels and bright to recognize the specificity of each distinct cosmetic formulation
