LEARNING OUTCOME

The aim of the course is the learning of recent techniques of purification and characterization of proteins and peptides. This course is designed to let students explore some of the many biochemical methods that are utilized for elucidating structural and functional properties of proteins. The practical laboratory is designed to introduce and emphasize important techniques in biochemistry, including, electrophoresis, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and biospectroscopy. Some aspects of proteomics are introduced
