Studying abroad: mobility programmes and international training


The University of Padua offers many opportunities for students who want to perform part of their curriculum in a foreign country.

At first, the  Erasmus programme was put beside the Socrates one and afterwards absorbed by it. The outline of the possibilities offered to students wishing to be admitted to the mobility community and training programmes, can be looked at the Internet site of International Relation Office

 

Socrates

 

The Socrates-Erasmus programme allows students to spend a period of study at a university of the European Union, the countries of EFTA-EEA (European Area of Free Trade - European Economic Area), some countries of Central and Eastern Europe (Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Hungary) and in Switzerland. The period of study is fully recognized, in accordance with procedures approved by the University Senate. The University of Padua has relations with 345 University of States listed above.

Student mobility is set up by Socrates agreements and foresees the exchange of students between two locations partner, with a certain number of available seats. The duration of the exchange is predetermined (that is, established for each agreement between a teacher of our University and a professor of a foreign University), and ranges from a minimum of three months to a maximum of twelve.
